    Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua),4 and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.”<\/b><\/p>

    El santo Bautismo es el fundamento de toda la vida cristiana, el p\u00f3rtico de la vida en el esp\u00edritu (“vitae spiritualis ianua”) y la puerta que abre el acceso a los otros sacramentos. Por el Bautismo somos liberados del pecado y regenerados como hijos de Dios, llegamos a ser miembros de Cristo y somos incorporados a la Iglesia y hechos part\u00edcipes de su misi\u00f3n. “El bautismo es el sacramento del nuevo nacimiento por el agua y la palabra”

    CLASES PARA PRIMERAS COMUNIONES<\/p>

    Si usted tiene ni\u00f1os, o conoce a alguien que tenga ni\u00f1os entre las edades de 7 a 17 a\u00f1os que vayan a entrar por lo menos al 2 grado de primaria y deseen hacer su primera comuni\u00f3n, se les avisa que estaremos registrando el 18 y 25 de Agosto, despu\u00e9s de misa de 11 en el sal\u00f3n parroquial.<\/p>

    Volantes con los requisitos para la inscripci\u00f3n est\u00e1n en el escritorio en el pasillo de la entrada.<\/p>

    Recuerde que los J\u00f3venes de 14 a\u00f1os que desean confirmarse deber\u00e1n tener su primera comuni\u00f3n, al igual que las jovencitas que les gustar\u00eda tener misa para XV a\u00f1os.<\/p>

    Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the “sacraments of Christian initiation,” whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For “by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.”
    Con el Bautismo y la Eucarist\u00eda, el sacramento de la Confirmaci\u00f3n constituye el conjunto de los “sacramentos de la iniciaci\u00f3n cristiana”, cuya unidad debe ser salvaguardada. Es preciso, pues, explicar a los fieles que la recepci\u00f3n de este sacramento es necesaria para la plenitud de la gracia bautismal. En efecto, a los bautizados “el sacramento de la Confirmaci\u00f3n los une m\u00e1s \u00edntimamente a la Iglesia y los enriquece con una fortaleza especial del Esp\u00edritu Santo. De esta forma quedan obligados a\u00fan m\u00e1s, como aut\u00e9nticos testigos de Cristo, a extender y defender la fe con sus palabras y sus obras”<\/p>

    Adult Baptism
    The catechumenate, or formation of catechumens, aims at bringing their conversion and faith to maturity, in response to the divine initiative and in union with an ecclesial community. The catechumenate is to be “a formation in the whole Christian life . . . during which the disciples will be joined to Christ their teacher. The catechumens should be properly initiated into the mystery of salvation and the practice of the evangelical virtues, and they should be introduced into the life of faith, liturgy, and charity of the People of God by successive sacred rites.”
    El catecumenado, o formaci\u00f3n de los catec\u00famenos, tiene por finalidad permitir a estos \u00faltimos, en respuesta a la iniciativa divina y en uni\u00f3n con una comunidad eclesial, llevar a madurez su conversi\u00f3n y su fe. Se trata de una “formaci\u00f3n, aprendizaje o noviciado debidamente prolongado de la vida cristiana, en que los disc\u00edpulos se unen con Cristo, su Maestro. Por lo tanto, hay que iniciar adecuadamente a los catec\u00famenos en el misterio de la salvaci\u00f3n, en la pr\u00e1ctica de las costumbres evang\u00e9licas y en los ritos sagrados que deben celebrarse en los tiempos sucesivos, e introducirlos en la vida de fe, la liturgia y la caridad del Pueblo de Dios”

    The purpose of the rite is to emphasize the importance of helping Latino Catholics celebrate their cultural heritage and to help unify other Catholics in their communities.
    El prop\u00f3sito del rito es enfatizar la importancia de ayudar a los latinos cat\u00f3licos a celebrar su herencia cultural y para ayudar a unificar a otros cat\u00f3licos en sus comunidades.
    *Notas Importantes:
    La ofrenda para la celebraci\u00f3n en la parroquia es de $500.00 UD.
    Si usted tiene otro sacerdote, la ofrenda o estipendio por el servicio sera cubierto por parte de la quincea\u00f1era.
    Se deber\u00e1 apartar por lo menos con 3 Meses de anticipaci\u00f3n, como sugerencia se pide que se registren 1 a\u00f1o de anticipaci\u00f3n para tener una buena preparaci\u00f3n.

    The offering for the celebration in the parish is $ 500.00 UD. If you have another priest, the offering or stipend for the service will be covered by the quincea\u00f1era.
    You should save the date for at least 3 months in advance, as a suggestion is asked to register one year in advance to have a good preparation.
